1950 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck, Nicely Restored Driver!
Here's an
exceptionally clean, fully restored, and nearly 60 year old Ford F-1
Pickup Truck that will certainly draw smiles from not only those who
see it on the road but the lucky owner behind the wheel. It has been
completely gone through and the restoration has produced this head
turning driver that you now see. It's not a show Truck as it has some
small chips in the paint from being driven but it is certainly far
above average to say the least.
The body is incredibly straight
and has a recent coat of a very attractive brilliant red paint which
won't let this old Truck go unnoticed. We have not detected any rust
on the Truck which is remarkable for a survivor of this era. The bed
wood has been replaced and compliments the Truck nicely. A period
correct spot light has also been added for more vintage appeal.
Several early Ford buffs have mentioned that the dash and rear window
are the 1951 style but nobody has come up with conclusive evidence that
they might not be original to the Truck from a transitional period
between model years. Again, not a perfect museum piece but extremely
respectable, a Truck you can both drive and be proud of.
The
interior has been completely redone with a pleated seat cover, new door
panels, fresh paint, new carpet, and features stock instrumentation as
well as the super cool stock 3 spoke steering wheel.
Mechanically
the Truck retains its stock running gear with the Flat Head V8 and
manual 4 speed transmission, both of which have been gone through and
detailed to a high standard as you can see. The electrical still runs
on the original 6 volt system as well. The tires are radials with
excellent tread and make it a comfortable driver. I personally would
consider a set of vintage bias ply tires which can be purchased from
www.cokertire.com to bring it back to the feel of 1950 when this Truck represented
the state of the art. The Truck is a great driver and is ready to be
passed on to a new appreciative owner.
SOLD!
~Please note this Truck is located just outside Denver, Colorado.
