1956 Oval Ragtop Beetle, Clean Driver!

Looking for a decent and respectable vintage Oval Ragtop Beetle that is affordable and you can relax and enjoy?  That is what we have here.  You'll have a hard time finding a better car for less and with a bit of love and servicing, this will be an excellent candidate to drive regularly as it is. 

Some of the many features include the ragtop sunroof, correct W decklid, bullet fenders, correct flat hood, H rear apron, wide white wall bias ply tires, fresh interior, stock 36hp engine, decklid rack, wood slat roof rack, accessory Dehne fuel gauge, and much more.  This is a good looking and cool early Beetle that certainly will not last.

The body is in very presentable shape, clean, and has all of the previously mentioned correct components as well as very clean US spec chrome bumpers, correct 15" smoothie wheels, snowflake taillights, and icepick doors.  The paint is very clean and good for a driver as it holds a nice shine but isn't show quality.  It certainly has a nice enough appearance to turn heads.

The interior was recently refreshed with new seat covers, door panels, and carpeting, too.  The dash is in nice shape, unhacked, and features a dealer optioned Dehne fuel gauge, original period radio, as well as a vintage glove box door pull.  The interior materials are not super faithful to original but are fresh, clean, presentable, and comfortable for the driver that this Beetle is!

Mechanically this Oval is bone stock with a stock 36hp engine, split case transaxle, and 6 volt electrical system.  It currently runs, drives, and stops but would benefit from a head to toe servicing to get things up to their full potential.  Expect to do some tuning, brake work including at least a bleed and adjust, and a little electrical cleanup and revival to get the stragglers up and going as well.
