1957 Standard Sunroof!

1957 Palm Green over Sand Green Standard Sunroof Microbus, The Genuine Article!

It is with great pleasure that I present for you this absolutely gorgeous and freshly finished early 1957 Palm Green over Sand Green Standard Sunroof Microbus.  The Bus was just recently finished after a 13 year long restoration that involved a team of restoration specialists from all over the United States.  It is also featured in the latest issue of Hot VWs Magazine (July, 2013).  Additionally, it recently took First in Class honors at a concours event in Missouri.

Incredibly the Bus has only 44,000 original miles due to the fact that it was only driven at the original owner family's vacation home in the Wisconsin Dells.  When it was discovered it was absolutely complete with all of the parts including the phenomenal original "Soft Green" upholstery seats, gorgeous original interior panels, both original snowflake kick panels, and all of the other hard to find bits, too.

Some of the great parts that were sourced for the restoration include NOS front and rear pressed bumpers, an NOS black Bus steering wheel, and all of the glass is brand new and expertly logoed with sigla logos just like the originals.  Other details to note include the very faithful wool headliner, the absolutely top notch Soft Green interior panels of which all but 3 are the originals to the Bus (!!!), original armrests, original floor mats, original 70mph clear needle speedometer, and the list goes on!

Mechanically the Bus is bone stock with a proper 36hp 1192cc engine, split case/first gear non-synchronized reduction box transaxle, original and properly refinished crow's foot 15 inch Bus wheels with correct 6.40-15 Firestone bias ply tires, new high-quality German chrome hubcaps with properly painted logos, and of course the electrical system is still running on 6 volts through a brand new wiring harness.

Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautiful, rarest, and most spectacular Green on Green Standard Microbuses in existence.
This Bus will positively be a crowd favorite in any collection or at any event Worldwide.

I have over 400 high quality fresh pics as well as pics of the build process to share upon request of serious buyers.  Thanks!

Please note that the Bus is located in Missouri.
