The body is very presentable and was recently professionally painted in single stage L31 Dove Blue.  The job is plenty nice for a driver but is not show winning quality.  Most of us would be very happy with how nice it looks.  Details to note include the new pressed bumpers that were added, the correct thick doglegs, flat wheel wells, outie vents, and factory high mounted taillights, too.  The Bus came out of Texas, was and is very dry, and only required very minimal welding during the build.  The underside was cleaned up and has been coated with Masterseries paint, too.

The interior is clean, functional, and had a nice custom Camper interior built for the rear.  The factory original Ambulance sliding glass cab divider is a cool and rare option which really helps to keep the road noise down, too.  The original Ambulance fan is also in working order so you can choose to open the safaris for a blast of fresh air or switch the fan on for a milder blast.  Other details to note include the Clara interior panels, the cargo area camper dome light that works properly via the pod switch, the nice and functional curtains, and the rebuilt 70mph clear needle speedometer, too.  The front seat could use recovering and the steering wheel could use restoration as well, if a new owner wanted to dial the Bus in a little further.

Mechanically the Bus is a nice driver, starts right up, idles and revs nicely, and has a good amount of power, too.  The 2028cc engine was last tuned by the guys at Paradise VW, the freeway flier transaxle was built by Rancho, and we have several videos of the Bus running and driving to share with seriously interested buyers as well.  We've got full walk around videos as well as driving around town, too.  All lights and electrical works as it should including headlights, high and low beams, turn signals, brake lights, radio, ambulance fan, dome lights, etc.  This Bus was built to be a comfortable and practical driver with enough power and braking to enjoy on modern roads.

Overall this one looks great, has loads of cool upgrades and extras, a very practical and clean camping interior, and offers a lot of Bus for the money.  Thanks!

Please note that this nice 1959 is located in Vista, California.

Additionally note that the accessory Safety Star is not included in the sale and the yellow California plates will only be included if the new owner is in California.
