1959 Single Cab, Original Dove Blue Paint, Hoops and Canvas!

Here is an awesome patinaed survivor Single Cab with original hoops and canvas, rare black knob ambulance fan, working Blaupunkt radio, rare NOS 70 mph clear needle trip speedometer, rebuilt 1600 single port engine, big nut transaxle, Firestone 6.40-15 bias ply tires, a Westfalia trailer hitch, original Bekowa Single Cab roof rack, vintage jewel tipped antenna, vintage Bosch fog lights, and early Year Of Manufacture California commercial series license plates!  It has a great look for those who appreciate the faded original look and it runs and drives nicely as well.

The body is nearly completely original Dove Blue paint and has the correct icepick handle cab doors, slash cut bumpers, decklid, thick lipped doglegs, gates, round glass taillights, bullet turn signals, original round mirrors and arms, and even the correct thin shaft wipers are in place.  It is very solid but does have a bit of rust in the lower rear gate and some other little tiny spots around, all of which can be seen in the large album of over 100 pics on my site.  The front floor was repaired and blended and the truck bed was resprayed as well.  There are the obvious dents, dings, scrapes, and beauty marks around but it is an honest 52 year old Truck as original paint doesn't hide, it speaks of its history!  The glass is all original matching logos and all of the window rubber has been replaced including the rebuilding of the front slider window assemblies although the vent window rubbers are good used originals.

The interior is equally as original throughout with original paint, pocketed grey pressed board paneling, original early front floor mat, and reupholstered front bench seat as well.  The vintage Blaupunkt in dash radio works, a cool and NOS accessory trip speedometer has been added, and don't forget about the rare black knob ambulance fan, too!  Nice, clean, very original, and a few very cool and valuable accessories, too.

Mechanically this early Truck was built to drive the modern roads while retaining its vintage appeal.  It has a nice running rebuilt 1600 single port engine, big nut freeway flier transaxle, has been converted to 12 volt for added reliability, complete brake system rebuild, and those awesome and proper Firestone 6.40-15 bias ply tires.  They are mounted on original paint 15 inch Bus wheels and topped with original paint grey commercial hubcaps.  Additionally the front end was gone through and serviced as necessary.  The mechanical work was all performed roughly 1650 miles ago at the same time as the NOS speedometer was installed so the mileage it reflects is the actual miles on the running gear.  This Truck is enjoyed regularly and is ready to continue to do so with a new owner.
