1960 Crew Cab, AZ Truck!

1960 Crew Cab, Original Sealing Wax Red Paint, Awesome Dry Desert Patina!

Here is a very solid early Crew Cab with an incredibly cool Arizona sun baked patina.  This one is an excellent canvas for the preservation-minded guys out there.

It has been parked in the Arizona desert sun for approximately the last 25 years and is now ready to go to the next level with a new owner.

The body is very original, way above average, and is exceptionally dry for its 55 years of age.  The doors, high hinged cargo door, gates, thick lipped doglegs, flat wheel wells, outie vents, church key decklid, apron, and slash cut bumpers are correct for the Bus, too.  There are some small spots of rust including the cargo rocker, an outrigger, and a small spot on the cargo floor corner.  Overall it's very impressive and could easily be enjoyed as it is or have the localized spots fixed and blended as well.  The gates are very nice, impressively straight, and the bed is rock solid, too.  The driver's side rocker was replaced and blended to match.

The interior is very original with original Sealing Wax Red paint, correct grey seats (front is freshly reupholstered, rear is original!), ratty but original grey pressed board panels, the dash is uncut, original radio blockoff plate is intact, and original 70mph clear needle speedo is in place, too.  Additionally the black rubber floor mats are original and in nice shape.  Take note of how super dry and solid the floors are as they are great testimony to the super dry life this Bus has led.

Mechanically the Bus will need a thorough going through and does not currently run.  It has been off the road for at least 25 years so it will need some work in every department including engine, brakes, electrical, fuel system, etc.  The engine is a fresh air 40hp that dates to 1963 and it is currently stuck, possibly from so many years sitting idle.  The owner has not looked into it and has decided to sell the Truck as it sits.  Other details to note include the new-ish 165-15 radial tires mounted on original 15 inch Bus wheels, and the light grey commercial hubcaps, too.

Overall this is a super cool and lovable early Crew Cab that will be an excellent basis to build into a monster in the right hands.  Thanks!
