1966 13 Window Deluxe Bus, Original Sea Blue and Cumulus White Paint!

Here's a very cool and nice 13 Window Deluxe Bus that has been thoroughly and professionally refreshed with a focus on preservation and accentuation of its originality.  It features mostly original paint throughout, fresh salt and pepper interior, new headliner, all new rubber, new German carpet, new tires, and a good running 1600 single port engine just to name a few details.

The body is in excellent shape as you can see, straight, clean, very dry, and original paint with the exceptions of the rockers and some small patches on the floors that were professionally replaced and blended to match by one of the best early Bus specialty shops here in Southern California.  The original paint is very strong with a very sexy mild fade through and has been buffed to a nice shine as well.  All of the aluminum body trim has a nice shine and fresh blue beading too.  The rear bumper trim will be included as well as the rear window jail bars although they are not yet installed at the time these pics were taken.  The Bus also features the desirable factory 6 popout window option with nice and correct chrome latches and fresh rubber seals throughout.

The interior is beautiful and has been thoroughly and professionally refreshed to a high standard throughout.  It features all 3 rows of seats although the middle is from a later Bay window Bus, all are freshly recovered in original style Salt and Pepper covers.  The interior panels are also brand new as is the pinhole vinyl headliner, kick panels on the middle and rear seats, correct rear seat Deluxe bar assembly, brand new German rear carpet, new Wolfsburg West rubber floor mats, new rear hatch hinge covers, and much more.  It is extremely clean, presentable, comfortable, and very faithful to the original design.

Mechanically the Bus features a good running 1600 single port engine, stock reduction box transaxle, new KYB shocks, brand new radial tires, freshly painted Silver White stock 14 inch Bus wheels, and are topped off with new chrome hubcaps with correctly painted VW logos.  As I previously mentioned the engine rear breast tin, heater hoses, and apron will be installed so the Bus will be ready to drive home and enjoy.  Additionally the very nice reproduction Westfalia style wood slat roof will be included.

This is a great and practical early Deluxe Bus that is priced to move and just in time for Spring and Summer cruising.  Thanks!
