SOLD!  1966 13 Window Walkthru Deluxe, Mild Custom!

This is a very clean, freshly completed, and professionally built Deluxe with a great style and is ready to enjoy today.  The desire was for a tasteful and mild custom to be just a bit different and I feel it has achieved that goal very well.  Some of the many features and details include being a factory walk thru Bus, lowered suspension, fresh 2007cc engine, custom 8 popout windows with new long spoon latches, safari windows front and rear, brand new fully polished Speed Master wheels and tires, Rometsch style steering wheel, all correct seats, fresh and cool custom interior, Sony stereo system, and much more!

The body is very clean, straight, solid, and has a fresh coat of custom paint reminiscent of a early Barndoor Standard Microbus scheme of Brown over Tan with the pinstripe.  All doors, decklid, apron, bumpers, lights, etc. are correct for the Bus.  The front signals were shaved as well as the bumper overriders and trim for a clean and slightly different look which I think looks very stylish and smooth.  All of the original Deluxe aluminum trim was fully polished and has new beading which compliments the color scheme very nicely.  The rockers are solid, clean, and even have their original polished spears which so frequently go missing over the years.  All of the body and window rubber is fresh and new as well.  After the paint was sprayed a brand new wiring harness was installed to insure nice bright lights and general reliability of the electrical system. 

Inside the Bus everything is as fresh and clean as the outside with new paint, tasteful and vintage style plaid door panels, custom heavy tweed headliner, all the correct seats with new matching seat covers and kick panels, brand new rubber floor mats, polished original jail bars, perfect brand new long chrome spoon popout latches all around, and a nice new Sony stereo system for sounds.  Very comfortable, clean, tasteful, and presentable.

Mechanically this Deluxe has seen a great deal of work and features an adjustable beam with dropped spindles, raised steering box, a straight axle rear end with a narrowed rear torsion housing, a newly built 2007cc stroker engine with a mild cam, cool sounding straight cut cam gears, breather box, new 009 distributor, new Bosch blue coil, new alternator, and a new stock style exhaust for excellent rear ground clearance.  The wheels are brand new fully polished Mooneyes Speed Masters with brand new low profile tires with only a couple hundred miles on them.  The electrical system has been upgraded to a 12 volt system as well for added reliability.  The Bus starts right up, runs excellently, and rides very smoothly for a lowered Bus.  It made a very nice and comfortable round trip to the VW Classics in Irvine in June with plenty of power, smooth driving, and lots of looks, photographs, and compliments along the way.  SOLD!
