1974 VW Thing, Clean and Fun Stock Driver!
Here we have a
presentable and enjoyable 1974 Thing that has recently been refreshed
with paint, seat covers, and newer convertible top with side curtains.
It is straight up driver class across the board, not a show car or close
to it, and is priced accordingly. This is a good one to relax and
enjoy as it is.
The body is in fair to good shape with a recent
driver class respray. It is presentable but you can see that it isn't a
top quality job. There are some dings around on the rear that were
just sprayed over as well as a spot of body work in the driver's rear
corner. The bumpers are clean, the pan is nice and solid as you can
clearly see from the pics of both sides, and overall it has a decent
appearance.
The interior was recently refreshed with seat covers
that are OK, not fantastic. They do the job and look alright.
Additionally a set of floor mats cover the cleanly painted floors.
Other features include a vintage style custom steering wheel and lap
belt seat belts.
Mechanically this Thing is stock with a 1600
dual port engine, stock transaxle, factory 12 volt electrical system,
and a decent set of radial tires mounted on stock 14 inch Thing wheels
and topped with painted logo chrome hubcaps. It is a driver, runs well,
and is a cool old convertible to cruise and enjoy as it is.
SOLD!
Please note that this Thing is located just outside Phoenix, Arizona.
